Questions?
What should I do if my pet has passed away at home?
If your pet has passed away at home, please don’t worry — we’re here to help. When you feel ready, call us and we will gently guide you through the next steps and arrange collection.
If possible, keep your pet somewhere cool and peaceful. If you are unsure what to do, we can talk you through everything over the phone.
Can you collect my pet from home or my vet?
Yes. We offer respectful collection from home or directly from your veterinary practice across Warrington and surrounding areas. We will arrange a suitable time and explain everything clearly.
What areas do you cover?
We provide pet cremation services across Warrington and nearby towns including St Helens, Widnes, Wigan, Runcorn, Leigh, Newton-le-Willows, Lymm, Penketh, Great Sankey and Liverpool.
Do you cremate dogs, cats and small pets?
Yes. We provide cremation services for dogs, cats and small pets including rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, birds and reptiles. Every pet is treated with the same dignity and care.
What is the difference between individual and communal cremation?
With an individual cremation, your pet is cremated on their own and their ashes are returned to you.
With a communal cremation, your pet is cremated respectfully with other pets and ashes are not returned.
How long does it take to get ashes back?
We aim to return ashes within 24–48 hours where possible, depending on the day and time of collection. We will always explain the expected timeframe clearly when you contact us.
Can I choose Gentle Paws even if my vet uses someone else?
Yes. You are always able to choose your own pet cremation provider. Many families don’t realise this, but you are not required to use the cremation service your veterinary practice normally uses. If you would like to choose Gentle Paws, simply let your vet know, or contact us directly and we can arrange collection with care and respect.
Can I bring my pet to you directly?
Yes, in many cases you can bring your pet to us by appointment. If you would like to arrange a drop-off, please call us first so we can guide you and make sure we are ready to receive you respectfully. Drop-off is available Monday to Friday between 8am and 5pm.
Do you charge extra for paw prints or fur clippings?
No. We do not charge extra for paw prints or fur clippings. If you would like these as a keepsake, please let us know when you contact us and we will confirm what options are available.
How much does pet cremation cost in Warrington?
Here at Gentle Paws we understand this is sometimes a concern. Prices depend on your pet’s size and the cremation option you choose. We aim to keep pricing clear and fair.
